The 30th edition of the Bromine Dead Sea Ultra Marathon kicks off today, Friday, organized by Run Jordan, with wide participation from local and international runners in the Dead Sea region.

The start of the 50 km Ultra Marathon (individual and relay) and the 21 km Half Marathon will be at 6:00 AM from the Dead Sea Tourist Beach, alongside the 21 km race for athletes with disabilities. The 10 km race is set to start at 9:00 AM, 2 km after the Baptism Site intersection.

The marathon highlights Jordan's position as a leading destination for sports tourism, offering participants a unique experience at the lowest point on Earth, combining athletic challenge with a remarkable natural setting.

Lina El Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, emphasizes that this milestone 30th edition reflects the organization's ongoing commitment to delivering a world-class sporting event and continuously enhancing the race experience.

This year's edition also features an updated course for the 50 km and 21 km races, now running along the Dead Sea Corniche, providing runners with a more scenic and enhanced race experience.
