Amman, Jordan – Run Jordan announced the start of preparations for the 30th edition of the Bromine Dead Sea Ultra Marathon, scheduled to take place on Friday, April 10, under the slogan “Run in the Lowest Place on Earth.”

The event is organized by Run Jordan in collaboration with the Greater Amman Municipality, and sponsored by Bromine Company Jordan, alongside a number of supporting partners and institutions.

The Bromine Dead Sea Ultra Marathon is considered one of the region’s most prominent sporting events, attracting runners from both Jordan and around the world. Now in its 30th edition, the race continues to strengthen its reputation as a landmark international running event while promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging community engagement in sports.

The race also plays an important role in promoting Jordan as a destination for sports tourism, thanks to its unique location in the Dead Sea region, the lowest point on Earth.

Lina El Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, highlighted the event’s international Label, noting that the official certification of the race routes by the international athletics federation reflects the event’s growing status on the global running calendar and strengthens runners’ confidence in participating from across the world.

This year’s event will feature several race categories, including the 50 km Ultra Marathon (individual and relay), the 21 km Half Marathon, the 21 km Half Marathon for athletes with disabilities (visual impairment and wheelchair users), and the 10 km race, in addition to a 10 km race for athletes with disabilities.

For this year’s edition, the 50 km and 21 km race routes have been updated, allowing runners to race along the Dead Sea Corniche, offering participants a unique running experience that combines athletic challenge with the breathtaking natural scenery of the area.
In addition, the Children’s Race will take place on Friday, April 17, at Al Hussein Public Parks in Amman, giving young participants the opportunity to take part in the celebration of sport in a safe and inspiring environment.

Run Jordan confirmed that the 30th edition will feature a variety of accompanying activities and experiences, celebrating this milestone while further enhancing the runners’ experience and reinforcing the marathon’s position as a highly anticipated annual sporting event.
