Run Jordan Opens Registration for the 30th Edition of the Bromine Dead Sea Ultra Marathon

Run Jordan has announced the opening of registration for the 30th edition of the Bromine Dead Sea Ultra Marathon, scheduled to take place on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Dead Sea under the slogan “Run in the Lowest Place on Earth.” The event is organized by Run Jordan in cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality and sponsored by Bromine Jordan, alongside a number of supporting companies and institutions.

The Bromine Dead Sea Ultra Marathon is considered one of the most prominent sporting events at both the local and international levels. Held at the lowest point on Earth, it annually attracts elite professional and amateur runners from various nationalities and age groups, offering a unique sporting experience that combines athletic challenge with the extraordinary natural landscape of the Dead Sea region.

In a new achievement that further strengthens Jordan’s presence on the global endurance sports map, the 50 km race of the Dead Sea Ultra Marathon has received official recognition and international classification from the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) for the 2026 edition, reflecting the advanced organizational standards of the race and reinforcing its position among internationally recognized endurance events.

This year’s event will feature several race categories, including the 50 km Ultra Marathon (Individual / Relay), 21 km Half Marathon, 21 km Half Marathon for participants with disabilities (visually impaired runners and wheelchair users), and the 10 km race, in addition to a 10 km race for participants with disabilities. The Kids’ Race will also take place on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Al Hussein Public Parks, targeting children aged 6 to 14, with the aim of encouraging young participants to embrace sports and adopt a healthy lifestyle from an early age.

Run Jordan stated that registration is available through the official website www.runjordan.com, in addition to in-person registration at the organization’s office located in Shmeisani – Hussein Al Jisr Street, during designated working hours.

As part of the services provided to participants, Run Jordan has introduced the Race Kit Delivery service, allowing runners to receive their race numbers and participation kits through a convenient delivery option, helping to make the registration experience easier and more efficient.

Run Jordan also confirmed that 20% of the registration fees for this year’s race will be allocated to support people in Gaza, in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, as part of a humanitarian initiative that reflects the values of solidarity and social responsibility promoted by the event alongside its sporting mission.

Lina El Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, stated that the 30th edition marks an important milestone in the history of the event, noting that Run Jordan remains committed to continuously developing the race and organizing it according to the highest international standards. This ensures a safe and exceptional experience for all participants while further strengthening Jordan’s position as a leading destination for sports tourism in the region.

Run Jordan also affirmed that the Dead Sea Ultra Marathon is organized annually in line with international standards for long-distance running events, featuring certified electronic timing systems and comprehensive logistical and organizational preparations to ensure an outstanding experience for all participating runners plus that the race has took the IAU Bronze label this year.
